Gov. Kasich Declares State Of Emergency After Storm

Ohio Gov. John Kasich has declared a state of emergency in the wake of severe storms that killed 3 people, including a town council member, and leveled dozens of homes in the state. That means state resources and personnel have been mobilized. Kasich says he talked by phone with President Barack Obama on Saturday but didn't request a federal emergency declaration. He says officials are still assessing the damage. The National Weather Service says possible tornadoes were reported in at least six Ohio cities and towns on Friday. The village of Moscow was among the hardest-hit. The village administrator says the storm destroyed about 25 of the roughly 100 buildings and damaged dozens more.
