State and federal authorities have completed searched of two of the four Ohio State campus buildings that were closed Tuesday morning due to a bomb threat.
No bombs were found in McPherson or Smith Laboratories on West 18th Avenue near The Oval. Those two buildings are set to re-open this hour.
The two other buildings, Scott Laboratory and Thompson Library, are scheduled to open back up later tonight. Scott at 6 p.m. and Thompson at 9.
The Columbus FBI branch notified OSU officials this morning that an anonymous tip indicated explosive devices had been placed in those buildings.
The labs and library were evacuated and students and employees were notified through text and email alerts of the threat.
Authorities have not released what, if any, the motive was behind the threat.
