Ohio could see up to 4 big-city casinos if election results from Tuesday night hold up. With about two-thirds of the state's precincts reporting, "Yes" votes for issue three held a 53% to 47% margin over the "No" votes. If it wins, Issue #3 would allow for the construction of casinos in Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Toledo. Voters in Franklin County said "No" to the casino plan but casino supporters were racking up big wins in Cleveland, Toledo and Cincinnati.
Ohio voters overwhelmingly OK'd changing the state constitution to establish a livestock care standards board and to give bonuses to Ohio veterans of recent wars.
Supporters of a school levy in the Southwestern City School District held a narrow lead with all but one of the district's precincts reporting. "Yes" votes for the Levy lead "No" votes by some 400 votes out of nearly 45,000 cast. Tuesday marked the 4th time levy supporters went to the ballot.
In Columbus, voters returned incumbents Priscilla Tyson, Troy Miller and Eileen Paley to City Council.
In the lone contested race for Franklin County Municipal Court Judge, Mark Hummer defeated Rick Brown.
