As the economy continues to falter, more Americans are facing the threat of losing their homes. Since the beginning of the year, more than 31-thousand Ohioans have received at least one foreclosure notice. The Columbus area is not immune to the housing crisis and as a result two local Realtors are continuing their Foreclosure Caravan Tours.
WOSU's Kim Fox spoke with Donna Carstens, a Realtor for Coldwell Banker King Thompson and one of the organizers of the tours. Carstens says there's a myth about the areas most impacted by foreclosures in the Central Ohio region.
The Foreclosure Caravan Tours are free. There will be one tour per month until August. For more information, visit Columbus Foreclosure Bus Tours
