Poll Shows Leads for Obama, Kilroy, Pay Day Lenders, Casino Foes

New polls out today give us a picture on how Ohioans plan to vote on several issues next week.

Survey USA and three Ohio television stations polled about 650 likely voters.

The poll found in the race for President in Ohio,Barack Obama leads john McCain by 4 percentage points,49%-45%.

On payday lending issue, the poll found payday lender supporters leading opponents. The poll found 43% of voters were leaning toward voting no. While 32 percent of voters were leaning toward voting yes. - an 11 point spread. A no vote would reject limits on payday interest imposed by state lawmakers.

Support for the casino in Clinton County appears to be eroding fast. Voters leaning toward a yes vote has dropped to 40% while those leaning toward voting no stands at 54%.

In the race for Ohio Attorney General, Democrat Richard Cordray has a 13 point lead over Republican Mike Crites.

In the race for the 15th Congressional district the Survey USA / WCMH poll found Democrat Mary Jo Kilroy leading Republican Steve Stivers by 6 percentage points, 47% to 41%.

The poll has a margin of error of about 4 percentage points.
