An Ohio House lawmaker says the state's scandal-plagued attorney general is offering to resign if an investigation into his office is delayed.
State Representative Robert Hagan says Dann wanted a bill allowing the state watchdog to investigate his office to take effect in 90 days. The Youngstown Democrat says Republican leaders in the House and Senate refused to remove a measure under which the bill will take effect as soon as Governor Strickland signs it.
Earlier Tuesday several newspapers reported that Dann's resignation was imminent but Dann's office said that's not the case. In a brief statement Dann's office said:
