A Democrat running for Congress and major Ohio newspapers are calling for Attorney General Marc Dann to resign. On Friday, three of Dann's top aides were forced out of their jobs, and another resigned in the fallout from a sexual harassment scandal. And, the attorney general acknowledged that he'd had an extramarital affair with a subordinate. Franklin County Commissioner Mary Jo Kilroy is the first high-profile Democrat to demand that Dann step down. The U.S. House candidate says sexual harassment can't be tolerated.
Also yesterday, The Columbus Dispatch and The Cleveland Plain Dealer said on their op-ed pages that it's time for Dann to go. The Cincinnati Enquirer and the Akron Beacon Journal ran similar editorials on Saturday.
