New Bill for Cancer Patients

At Ohio State alone, there are more than 200 clinical trials for cancer patients. At least 20-percent of patients who attempt to enroll in those programs face problems with their insurance companies.

Tuesday, Governor Ted Strickland will sign into law a bill that will prevent insurance companies in Ohio from stopping coverage for patients enrolled in clinical trials.

Monday, Senator Sherrod Brown was at the James Cancer Center. He spoke about a bi-partisan bill he is sponsoring the in the Senate that would do the same thing on the Federal level.
