In a unanimous decision today, the Ohio Supreme Court ruled the use of red-light cameras to ticket motorists does not violate the state's constitution.
The decision impacts a handful of Ohio cities, including Columbus.
The red-light program generated just over half a million dollars generated just over half a million dollars in revenue for the city since its inception in March of 2006.
WOSU'S Lauren Schmoll spoke with George Sparks, Ohio's Deputy Director of Public Safety about what would have happened if the Supreme Court's decision would have been different.
