Two sisters who were separated for a decade after their mother's murder united Monday behind a common goal: both women want to keep their mother's killer behind bars.
The Ohio Parole Board recommended that 64-year-old William Clumm be paroled after serving 30 years of a life sentence for killing his wife, Francine Spain Clumm, and dumping her body in a creek near Athens.
William Clumm's daughter and stepdaughter are speaking up to oppose his release. The two were sent to separate homes after their mother's death but later reunited. Now the women say Clumm should stay in prison and they would fear for their safety if he's released.
The parole board found the Clumm has been a model inmate, but now says they'll reconsider their decision at a July meeting.
