Ted Strickland didn't waste any time reaching out to defeated Republicans after the Democratic congressman won Ohio's race for governor last night.
Strickland preached intraparty unity on the campaign trail. He says he plans to follow through on that promise now that he's been elected to lead Ohio.
Now that the campaign is over, Strickland says it's time for Democrats and Republicans to put aside their differences and work together.
Once he takes office, Strickland will be the state's first Democratic governor in 16 years.
After his resounding defeat, Republican Ken Blackwell told supporters it's time to put aside differences and work with the opposition.
