Congressman Bob Ney Says He'll Not Seek Re-election.

A state senator from Eastern Ohio says she's been asked to run for congress this fall. Senator Joy Padgett says incumbent republican Bob Ney has also told her he will not seek re-election. Padgett says Ney told her that defending himself in an influence-peddling case in Washington has been a strain on his family. Ney has not been charged in the inquiry and he denies wrongdoing. Earlier, the six-term congressman from Heath insisted he would not resign even if indicted over his dealings with convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff.
