Author, professor and university poet laureate for Ohio State University David Citino died Monday. He was 58 years old. A spokewoman for OSU says Citino died from complications from M-S.
Citino, a native of Cleveland and nationally known poet, was most famous for his prose on Ohio where he spent all of his life.
Kathy Fagan, Ohio State English professor and former creative writing program director says Ohio was a great influence on cintino's work.
Cintino also served as president for the Thurber house, a Columbus literary center where he showcased his work at weekly readings.
Cintino taught english and creative writing at Ohio State. He is survived by his wife and three children.
