Lawyers in the federal trial of an Ohio State University marketing professor accused of insider trading are picking jurors in US District Court in Columbus.
Sixty-four-year-old Roger Blackwell, four other individuals and a company he co-owns are charged with 48 counts.
Blackwell is accused of tipping off the others about takeover negotiations between Worthington Foods -- on whose board he served -- and the Kellogg Company, allowing the individuals to profit when the stock jumped when the deal was announced.
Blackwell could face ten years in prison and a $1-million fine if convicted.
He has pleaded not guilty.
