Smoking ban opponents file 15,000 signatures

Those opposed to the new smoking ban in Columbus have collected nearly 15-thousand signatures in an effort to put the issue on the ballot.

Five thousand signatures are needed.

Jacob Evans of the "Can The Ban" campaign says he's confident of a win in November.

A spokesman for Tobacco Free Ohio says 15,000 people is a small portion of the electorate.

She says she is confident voters will confirm last month's vote of Columbus City Council.
