The columbus teachers union and public schools officials have finalized a separation plan for teachers.

Teachers who earn at least $55,000 per year are eligible to sign up for the districts early leave plan.

John Grossman, head of the Columbus Education Association, says the plan will enable the district to keep younger teachers.

Grossman says he plans to meet with district offiicials to detail temporary concessions the union is willing to make.

Columbus school official say the district faces an $85 million budget deficit next year.
