Task force investigates I 270 findings

After shutting down the southern outerbelt Saturday to comb for clues, measure distances and possible bullet trajectories. Franklin County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Steve Martin says the information gathered is now being processed.

Franklin County Chief Deputy Steve Martin has said police believe the shooter or shooters lives, works or is in some other way familiar with the southern tip of Columbus.

A bullet fragment found in an elementary school in Hamilton Township and another bullet found in a woman's home prompted the neighborhood canvas.

Martin does not rule out returning to the area to do further interviews in the neighborhoods or shut down I-270.

Area businesses are now offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons who killed Gail Knisley two days before Thanksgiving. More than 1,200 tips have come into a tip line. Martin says there has been no word from the person or persons responsible for the shootings.
