The man Columbus police say is the so-called Naked Photographer is an attorney who works for the Ohio House of Represenatives. Officers arrested 32 year old Stephen Linnen Wednesday night. Police say Linnen was naked and holding a campera when he was arrested behind a supermarket near where a woman reported being confronted. The woman said she was getting out of her car at an apartment complex on the northwest side of Columbus when she was approached by a naked man. He snapped her picture and ran away without touching her.
It was the 39th incident linked to the naked photographer, who surpises women while often wearing nothing but a baseball cap and a smile and snaps photographs of their shocked expressions.
Police believe he keeps the photos as souvenirs. Gahanna police have charged Linnen with more serious crimes. In Gahanna is charged with kidnapping and gross sexual imposition.Linnen works as deputy legal counsel for the Ohio House of Represenatives. House Speaker Larry Householder says Linnen has been placed on paid leave until the matter is resolved.
