On January 5, Classical 101 will launch a fun new Saturday evening program of classical music — with an American accent. Each Saturday at 6 pm I'll guide you on a tour through masterworks by great American composers like Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein and Samuel Barber and weâll go back to our American roots with George Gershwinâs jazz-inspired music, performances by Americaâs bluegrass greats and more. Jennifer Hambrick unites her extensive backgrounds in the arts and media and her deep roots in Columbus to bring inspiring music to central Ohio as Classical 101’s midday host. Jennifer performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago before earning a Ph.D. in musicology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
