Help Name Classical 101's New Program!

Even if you're still recovering from election fatigue, here's a fun opportunity to make your voice heard in a distinctly democratic way. We're asking your help Classical 101 name our new American music program! On January 5, Classical 101 will launch a fun new Saturday evening program of classical music — with an American accent. Each Saturday at 6 pm I'll guide you on a tour through masterworks by great American composers like Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein and Samuel Barber and we’ll go back to our American roots with George Gershwin’s jazz-inspired music, performances by America’s bluegrass greats and more. Submit your suggestions for program names by November 30, and if your suggestion is chosen, you could be invited to a behind-the-scenes look at the making of this weekly program. Don't miss your chance to go classically American! Submit your ideas online or call in your suggestions at 614.292.9678.

Jennifer Hambrick unites her extensive backgrounds in the arts and media and her deep roots in Columbus to bring inspiring music to central Ohio as Classical 101’s midday host. Jennifer performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago before earning a Ph.D. in musicology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
