For Valentine's Day: Muses of Classical Music

How do I love thee? Let me count the ... rests. Such may have been a mantra for the mates of any number of composers of classical music who got their inspiration from the people who loved them. Just in time for Valentine's Day, Limelight magazine has compiled a list of 10 muses of classical music, people who sighed creativity right into the  minds of some of the greatest composers of classical music. Ever wonder how Gustav Mahler managed to compose those gargantuan symphonies? Ask Alma Schindler.  How did the oft-notorious Wagner sustain a career as one of Europe's most prominent opera composers? Jennifer Hambrick unites her extensive backgrounds in the arts and media and her deep roots in Columbus to bring inspiring music to central Ohio as Classical 101’s midday host. Jennifer performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago before earning a Ph.D. in musicology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
