Bonnie Milligan, a 2006 graduate of Ohio State University, won a Tony Award Sunday night.

Milligan won in the category of Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical for her role in the production Kimberly Akimbo.

The musical also won several other awards at the ceremony, including Best Musical.

Milligan's win is not the only Ohio State connection to this year's Tony Awards.

Broadway superstar Audra McDonald was nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Play for her role in the play Ohio State Murders. That production was a one-act play that told the story of Suzanne Alexander, who is a student at Ohio State.

McDonald lost in her category to Jodie Comer, who won for the play Prima Facie.
