Mamma Mia and Jukebox Musical Success/Bike Lady and Foster Kids

Abba’s original version of Mamma Mia was a hit back in the day, but who knew Abba’s pop tunes would inspire Mamma Mia, the hit broadway musical, and start a whole new trend? On this segment of “All Sides,â€? we’ll talk with two members of the national touring company of Mamma Mia about their roles, jukebox musicals, and more.

Event

The Mamma Mia touring cast presents “Broadway Babes in Toyland,â€? A Cabaret, Tonight, Dec. 15, at 11:30 p.m. at the Level Dining Lounge. There is a required $10 donation at the door, all proceeds benefit HUCK HOUSE, a safe place for runaway youth in Columbus.

Every year, hundreds of kids are cared for through the Franklin County Children Services foster-care program. And every year, Children Services Holiday Wish program scrapes by to make sure every child has a special gift on christmas morning. On this segment of "All Sides," we'll talk about what you can do to help this kids this holiday season.

Donations

You can help by sponsoring a child and filling that child's holiday gift wish, you can make a donation (toy or monetary), and you can help spread the word by passing this information on to your family and friends. Also, consider holding your own Holiday Wish toy drive at your place of business, worship or community organization. FCCS must raise all funds and toys needed for this program as the agency's tax dollars cannot be used for this holiday giving program. Donations may be considered tax deductible. The Holiday Wish program at Franklin County Children Services is the perfect example of giving and receiving. This special program allows children under the care of Children Services to make a wish for a special toy or gift. Each child age 11 and younger selects a toy or gift valued at $40, and each youth 12 and older will receive a $50 gift certificate. Cash donations and new toy donations are also needed. Checks can be made payable to FCCS/Holiday Wish and mailed to 855 W. Mound Street, Columbus, Ohio 43223. Franklin County Children Services is unable to accept any used donations. Community support for Holiday Wish is felt in many ways.
