The last remaining York Steak House in Columbus is officially up for sale.
A post was placed Tuesday on the West Broad Street restaurant's Facebook page announcing the sale of the business.
The post states the current owner is planning to retire after running the restaurant for the last 45 years.
The first York Steak House opened in Columbus in 1966 as part of a pod of restaurants called The Patio off Morse Road.

The brand expanded and began opening locations inside shopping malls.
In 1976, York Steak House was acquired by the General Mills Restaurant Group and expanded to nearly 180 locations.
"This is the only one left," said Greg Hrabcak, who is marketing the business for Hanna Commercial Real Estate. "They used to be in a lot of malls."
Locations began closing after weak sales due to competition from mall food courts.
The last location is family owned and operated.
It's not known if the restaurant will remain in business once it is sold, although Hrabcak said he hopes it will be.
