The Your Voice Ohio initiative brings together Ohioans from all walks of life, to brainstorm homegrown solutions to the opioid crisis.

WYSO is a partner in the Southwest Ohio Your Voice Ohio project. It's a collaborative effort to produce more relevant, powerful journalism based on the needs and ambitions of Ohioans and Ohio communities.

Your Voice Ohio is an initiative of WYSO and more than 30 news organizations across the state. We’re beginning with the opioid epidemic and will let the public guide us from there.

At a series of community forums Your Voice Ohio organized in February across the Miami Valley, many residents expressed confusion and frustration over not knowing how to access addiction-related information, resources, detox or treatment services.

Many people told us they were desperate for ways to help themselves, family members or loved ones access the help they need to get clean.

In response to these concerns, our Your Voice Ohio partner news outlet The Dayton Daily News produced a comprehensive Opioid Addiction Resource Guide that includes information about treatment options, recovery programs and other community resources.

-------------------------

"We’ve heard from readers and those affected by the opioid crisis in our community that it can be frustrating trying to find accurate information on treatment options, recovery programs and other community resources. To address this need for a one-stop shop for information, we’ve created this resource guide. Information may change so please call each agency with specific questions. Although we’ve tried to be as complete as possible, we may have missed a non-profit or program in your city. Please feel free to send information to be included in this guide to reporter Katie Wedell at kwedell@coxohio.com."
