Anthony Pierson to leave Franklin County Prosecutor's Office after securing Adam Coy conviction

Pierson was the lead prosecutor on the Adam Coy murder trial. Coy, a former Columbus Police Officer, was found guilty last month of murdering Andre Hill in 2020.

Zanesville billboard claims Columbus criminals cause crime there. Data isn't supporting claim

The Muskingum County sheriff said his office arrests many people from Columbus for drug trafficking. The county's jail registry shows most of the people arrested for dealing drugs are from Zanesville.

The left photo is of the Franklin County Democratic Party's sample ballot given to voters. The photo on the right is a similar flier that was created by the campaign of Anthony Pierson, a candidate for county prosecutor that the party chose not to endorse.

Prosecutor candidate Anthony Pierson's campaign passed out flyers to voters early Monday that said he was recommended by the county party's screening committee. He was, however, not endorsed by the party as a whole.
