VIVO Music Festival
Musicians of Columbus' new chamber music festival - the VIVO Music Festival - perform at a Short North art gallery.

Santa Fe has one. So do New York City, Charleston, Marlboro and now – Columbus.

Summer chamber music festivals have taken root and thrived in some of America's most notable cities, and this summer Columbus joins that list when the VIVO Music Festival launches in the Cap City later this month.

Tune in to Classical 101 Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 1 p.m., to hear VIVO Music Festival co-artistic directors John Stulz and Siwoo Kim and other festival musicians talk about the VIVO Music Festival's uniquely Columbus flavor. Also, hear them in a preview performance for the festival’s Aug. 21 opening concert at the Short North's Garden Theater.

Join me and musicians of Columbus’ new chamber music festival – the VIVO Music Festival – Wednesday at 1 p.m. on Classical 101.

Jennifer Hambrick unites her extensive backgrounds in the arts and media and her deep roots in Columbus to bring inspiring music to central Ohio as Classical 101’s midday host. Jennifer performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago before earning a Ph.D. in musicology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
