Two Ohio Republicans put forth a plan last week that would penalize doctors who provide gender-identity medical treatment to transgender youths.

The news generated national headlines and galvanized both supporters and opponents of the bill by state Reps. Ron Hood (R-Ashville) and Bill Dean (R-Xenia).
