Ohio lawmakers are returning to the Statehouse to hold hearings on several bills, including changes to Gov. Mike DeWine’s proposed operating budget.
The Ohio House is scheduled to introduce its version of the state budget in committee.
DeWine's budget plan currently spends $74.7 billion from the general revenue fund over the course of the next two years.
The House could hold a vote on a bill that requires property tax issues to explain on the ballot how much it would cost in dollars for each $100,000 in property value.
The so-called "Business Fairness Act" could also get a House committee vote. This bill allows any business to stay open despite government orders as long as that business follows the same safety precautions as other businesses that are allowed to stay open.
A bipartisan anti-bullying and anti-hazing bill will also get its first committee hearing in the House.
