Workers at the Wexner Center for the Arts are organizing to form a union. The workers say they want an equitable, transparent, and sustainable workplace for employees at all levels.
Learning & Public Practice Coordinator at the Wexner Center, Jo Snyder said since the pandemic, some layoffs have occurred, but the workload has remained the same.
"Staff also experienced reduced work hours which meant reduced pay, but our workload did not reduce at all so we were essentially working harder for fewer hours for less money,” said Snyder.
Co-interim executive directors at the Wexner Center for the Arts, Kelly Stevelt and Megan Cavanaugh responded by email saying they value their employees and what they do to support the Center and the mission but they have no further comment at this time.
