The Columbus Division of Police says a child was killed early Wednesday morning after being hit by a vehicle on McNaughten Road on the city’s Far East Side.
Police say they received a report at 6:23 a.m. of the crash near East Main Street. Authorities say the victim was a 6th grade student at Sherwood Middle School.
No other details, including the victim's name, were provided.
McNaughten was closed between Parliament Drive and Cherry Hill Drive.
