Ohio State University's spring class has broken another record.

The university says it awarded 11,907 degrees during spring commencement Sunday, setting a record for the fourth consecutive year. Commencement was held in Ohio Stadium.

Sue Desmond-Hellmann, CEO of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, delivered the commencement address to the 2018 graduating class. Before the ceremony, she said new graduates "know more about the world and feel more connected to the world in positive ways" than classes of past generations.

The university attributes the record-sized classes it's been graduating in recent years to its efforts to attract top students and to work to retain them throughout their college careers.
