Police in Logan County say a 16-year-old boy was fatally shot while returning to a house party he’d left because of a fight, and the party's host faces several alcohol-related charges.

Branden Doseck died from his wounds early Sunday morning.

The sheriff’s office says Evan Hoffman, 20, hosted an underage drinking party, and Doseck was among those who left after an altercation.

Police say Hoffman shot Doseck after he re-entered the home.

Hoffman faces 22 charges related to underage drinking, including seven counts of furnishing alcohol to underage persons, seven counts of permitting underage person to consume alcohol, and six counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

A press release from the Logan County Sheriff's Office says prosecutors will consider additional charges.
