A central Ohio grand jury has indicted an Ohio prison inmate on charges that he sent a threatening letter containing white powder and labeled "anthrax" to a judge who presided over one of his cases.
Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien says 31-year-old Sean Heisa sent the letter last month to Judge Kim Brown. It contained a death threat, but the packet of white powder turned out to be harmless. Heisa is charged with separate counts of unlawful possession or use of hoax weapon of mass destruction, intimidation, and retaliation.
Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction records show Heisa is serving a 17-year sentence for aggravated robbery and other charges in five counties. He's accused of sending the letter from Southern Ohio Correctional Facility in Lucasville.
