Both prosals fell more than 900 signatures short of making the fall ballot.

Columbus residents will not be voting this fall on proposals to ban fracking and to change city council.

The current council on Monday rejected both measures from the November ballot because of a shortage of petition signatures.

If approved, the council initiative would have moved to an 11-member format with seven members from individual wards and four at-large seats.
