A Franklin County Grand Jury today returned an indictment against a man they say was responsible for the death of 14-month old Cameron Beckford.
Beckford’s body was found last December in a knapsack in Big Walnut Creek.
Twenty four-year old Kurt Flood was indicted on five charges today including felonious assault.
If convicted, Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien says, Flood faces a possible sentence of 23 years in prison.
Flood’s indictment follows the involuntary manslaughter plea by the toddler’s mother last week.
Flood is due back in court on Wednesday.
