Former Ohio Secretary of State and one-time candidate for Governor Ken Blackwell says he's still mulling over a run for the U.S. Senate. Blackwell says he's been thinking about running for the Senate since recent polls showed he was a Republican favorite to take on Sherrod Brown. But there's also been recent talk that party leaders favor state treasurer Josh Mandel for the seat. Speaking on All Sides with Anne Fisher, Blackwell responded this way. "If they want to get behind a candidate as opposed to letting the primary voters decide, then I can take them on once again," Blackwell said. Blackwell defeated then-favored Jim Petro in the Republican primary for Governor in 2006. Former Ohio State Senator Kevin Coughlin is the only declared GOP candidate to take on Brown. Blackwell says he'll decide on a possible Senate run by July 4.
