A Columbus fire official in Ohio says three people have died in a fire that burned through a house on North Yale Avenue
Fire Battalion Chief David Whiting describes the victims as an elderly woman, a teenager and an infant.
Whiting says the fire in the Franklinton neighborhood just west of downtown was reported shortly after 5 a.m. Friday. He says firefighters arrived to find the two-story house engulfed in flames "from top to bottom."
The teen was found dead outside the house, while the other two bodies were inside. Two adjacent homes were heavily damaged.
A firefighter overcome by heat was taken to a hospital. Whiting says there were no other injuries.
The fire's cause was not immediately known.
