Ohio State athletic director Andy Geiger calls untrue allegations by former football star Maurice Clarett that the school helped him pass classes he didn't attend and get paid for summer work he never did.
Geiger responded during a news conference today to allegations made by the former Buckeye tailback in an interview with ESPN, The Magazine.
Geiger also says Clarett had threatened in the past to -- quote -- "blow up" the Ohio State football program and says he's not surprised by Clarett's comments. He also took a jab at Clarett's character, pointing out that he was suspended last year for lying to NCAA investigators.
Geiger says internal and NCAA investigations already have cleared the school of the types of wrongdoing alleged by Clarett.
