Student work opportunities are available to undergraduate students currently enrolled at The Ohio State University or Denison University for a minimum of 6 credit hours. All student positions are paid and academic credit is available for students needing an internship for their major.


Work Schedule: M-F; Hours flexible.

Hours Per Week: Up to 10 hours per week.

Location: Remote; Student may work in person if they prefer. Some in-person work may be required

Compensation: $10/ hour

Job Description: The WOSU Classroom Office Assistant will provide support to the WOSU Classroom team in a variety of ways, including but not limited to: Maintaining school district contact information, running daily reports for online learning services, test and proof online courses, prep social media posts, prep content for bimonthly enews, additional tasks as assigned.  This position may be completed remotely, through in-person work may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications: Must have access to a secure and stable internet connection in order to work remotely. WOSU is not responsible for providing internet access. An OSU laptop and login credentials will be provided; Student may choose to work in person if they choose, some in-person events may be required; Ability to communicate and work successfully in a completely virtual environment; Must have basic computer skills; Knowledge of Google Drive Apps a plus; Must be able to work independently and have good communication skills; Must be organized and detail-oriented; packing and light lifting may be required and accommodations can be made.

Job Description: This role supports the producer of the WOSU radio program, All Sides with Ann Fisher. Responsibilities include: Writing scripts, researching guests for shows, pitching show ideas, assisting producers to book and write shows, preparing briefing materials for the host, attending weekly editorial meetings, scheduling shows and confirming guests, writing program descriptions, screening listener calls for inclusion on the show; Other duties as assigned.

Training provided for technical duties that include producing and editing repeat programs, uploading podcasts, editing audio, and building posts on the website.

Qualifications: Ideal candidate has an interest in current events, public affairs, and news. Must be punctual, show great attention to detail, be a self-starter, and be able to take direction.
