COLUMBUS, OHIO, September 16, 2016 — WOSU Public Media is returning its TV studios from COSI to The Ohio State University’s Columbus campus as it continues to explore building new headquarters.
“We’ve enjoyed a successful 10-year partnership with COSI and are excited to maintain a presence at the museum while also pursuing our new vision,” said Tom Rieland, general manager of WOSU Public Media. “The goal for WOSU is to build a new facility as part of the 15th and High district.”
Campus Partners recently unveiled its plans to create a vibrant connection between campus and the community at 15th and High. A potential new headquarters will require further planning and resource development.
In an interim period, WOSU will consolidate all of its broadcast production operations inside the Fawcett Center where the television and radio stations have been operating for more than 45 years.
The nationally recognized collaboration between WOSU and COSI will continue as the popular PBS KIDS® interactive exhibit space will remain part of the COSI experience and the WOSU Ross mediaLab will be integrated into the COSI Teen Tech Studio.
