The Ohio Educational Technology Conference (OETC) is the premier P-20 state educational technology conference. OETC is a fun-fill, 3-day tech-stravaganza where P-20 educators from around the state come to network, collaborate, and talk tech!

NASA Makerspace Poster Session

In the quickly growing Makerspace movement, there is a strong need to build academic rigor into the creative spaces where students can gather to create, invent, tinker, explore and discover using a variety of tools and materials. Together with NASA, WOSU Classroom is developing a program to help strengthen science curriculum through a perfect blend of high-quality content, rigorous lesson design, and standards alignment.

Personalized Learning Playground

What is a playground? Playgrounds are informal spaces with hands-on activities, that provide conference-goers the opportunity to engage and explore at their own pace. Through open exploration and conversation with educators, developers, and other participants, attendees will learn more about promising practices and how these technologies fit in the learning environments.
Scaffolding the Writing Process with Google Tools for the Elementary Classroom
Thursday, February 15th from 11 am – Noon, Room B230-232
Supporting young writers is challenging work. See how Google Drawings and Slides build scaffolds for struggling writers to find their point of view sparking ideas with purpose and focus. Differentiated learning designs utilizing graphic organizers and multi-media text sets engage writers in a process of wonder and revision.
