In order to support Ohio’s K-12 educators during this period of social distancing, WOSU Classroom has worked with the other Ohio State EdTechs to create free online learning resources for educators who now find themselves teaching in a virtual classroom for the first time. These resources include lessons on how to use different virtual meeting tools, collaboration software, and tips for recording and sharing digital lessons. The EdTechs will continue adding more lessons throughout the week, and contact hours will be available for each lesson, free of charge.
In addition to educator resources, we also have a collection of resources for families to talk to their children about the coronavirus, and we will begin sending daily enewsletters to subscribers with activities and lessons for children to do at home. WOSU News has ongoing live coverage of the coronavirus outbreak in Ohio and measures being taken by the government to stem the spread.
