A 35-year-old Franklin County man has been charged for the murders of four people last month in West Jefferson.

People who live near the scene of Monday's mass shooting say the incident shocked the normally quiet village.

Authorities responding to the scene on Monday found gunshot victims inside and outside of a duplex residence in the Madison County village.
