An unidentified man in the Linden neighborhood died after a shooting that happened around 12 p.m. on Election Day. Columbus Police say the shooting was not related to the election nor nearby canvassers for U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown's campaign.

The child is in critical condition at Nationwide Children's Hospital.

A Columbus police spokeswoman said the man came toward officers with a knife raised and would not stop.

No one was hurt, but Zanesville City Hall was closed Monday following the incident.
