The trial for Connor Grubb is set to begin on July 14, 2025.

Blendon Township trustees voted unanimously Wednesday to keep Grubb on paid administrative leave.

Blendon Township Police officer Connor Grubb posted a $20,000 bond after pleading not guilty to murder and other charges. He shot and killed 21-year-old Ta'Kiya Young in a grocery store parking lot last August.

Blendon Township Police officer Connor Grubb shot 21-year-old Ta'Kiya Young, 21, on Aug. 24, 2023, after he and another officer confronted Young inside her car. Young was pregnant at the time and both she and her unborn child died.

The Franklin County Prosecutor's Office told WOSU the officer who fatally shot Young was Connor Grubb. Blendon Township refused to identify Grubb, citing Marsy's Law.

Young was shot and killed by Blendon Township Police Officer Connor Grubb in August after she was accused of shoplifting from a Kroger. She was pregnant at the time and her unborn child also died.
