When mixed-media artist Richard Duarte Brown met fellow artist Aminah Robinson, he had all the jitters that come with meeting a legend. Now, as the recipient of the 2022 Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson Fellowship, Brown has the opportunity to work in Robinson’s former home and studio for the next three months.

Columbus Dance Theatre‘s new holiday ballet, Wonderment, is a classic tale of good overcoming evil, of innocence lost and found. Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale “The Snow Queen,” Wonderment features a modern take on costumes and classical ballet choreography, set to music by Russian composer Alexander Glazunov.

Many people have been able to get to work during the past 15 months with just a few steps to the home office. But for the members of the Carpe Diem String Quartet the pandemic has meant anything but an easy commute.

In most ways, it’s a typical orchestra rehearsal – musicians with their instruments, the conductor with his scores and everyone striving to perfect their performance of the music at hand. But unlike a typical orchestra rehearsal, this one takes place in a warehouse.
