WOSU Public Media is a subdivision of The Ohio State University, which is an instrumentality of the State of Ohio and exempt under Section 115 of the Internal Revenue Code. Gifts for the benefit of WOSU Public Media may also be made to The Ohio State University Foundation, which is the primary fundraising entity of The Ohio State University and is exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
