The Ohio State Fair Butter Cow is sculpted from more than 2,000 pounds of butter.

Creating art is hard, even with conventional supplies like acrylics and clay.

But how about when the medium is butter: more than 2,000 pounds of it?

That was the challenge put to the artist behind the creation of the Ohio State Fair’s popular butter cow display.

Steering a college through the thicket of issues confronting educators today is not an easy task. The president of Antioch College manages those day-to-challenges as the Yellow Springs school’s first deaf leader.
