Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan told his fellow lawmakers last week he wants to be the next Speaker of the U.S. House.
He said he's the man who can unite Republicans to keep their promises to the American people.
Jordan represents Ohio's 4th Congressional district.
Jordan is from Urbana, located in Champaign County, but his district includes suburbs and rural areas north of Columbus.
His main competitor to be the next House Speaker seems to be Congressman Steve Scalise of Louisiana.
Coming up on our weekly Reporter Roundtable, we'll talk about who's competing to be the next House Speaker, along with the latest happenings concerning the Ohio Department of Education.
