Christmas day at the movie theater is a tradition for millions of Americans. But this year, most theaters were closed, hosting private viewings or otherwise just scraping by.
On top of that, Warner Bros. announced in early December that their Christmas Day release “Wonder Woman 1984,” along with their entire 2021 film slate, would hit theaters and HBO Max simultaneously.
